Meg McSherry Interiors is a full service design firm located in Newton, MA serving New England and beyond. Since 2016 our mission has been to create beautiful spaces that are approachable and timeless while meeting the demands of family life. Meg and her team collaborate closely with clients and take time to get to know them, learn how they live, and discover their home’s personality. We love poring over the fine details and partnering with tradespeople who produce quality craftsmanship and help us problem solve! Our projects include new builds, renovations, and decorating whole spaces with furniture, lighting, and accessories.

ABOUT THE FIRM

MEET MEG

Meg’s years of experience in the design industry are starting to catch up with her! Having earned a degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design shortly after college, she spent the early part of her career working at residential firms in New England. In 2016, Meg officially launched MMI from a folding chair in her home. In all parts of life, Meg gravitates towards things that are comfortable, livable and meaningful. She is most proud of the kind, hardworking and creative team she has assembled, and feels privileged to help clients turn their house into a home.

Meg lives in Newton with her husband, daughters, and two dogs. She loves going to bed early (by 9:30p), watching ‘The Voice’ with her family, and still pinches herself when clients hire her.

Owner & Principal Designer

Our small but mighty team is one of our superpowers. We are tight-knit and obsessed with every detail of what we do — we aspire to create spaces that our clients will fall in love with and thrive within.

MEET OUR TEAM

ARI

Designer

Ari was born in Lima, Peru, and came to the United States in her teens. For college, she moved to Brooklyn, where she graduated from the Pratt Institute. Since then, Ari has worked in high-end residential design firms in Manhattan and Boston before joining the MMI team in 2023.

She loves designing spaces that are sophisticated yet functional and unique. Her design aesthetic is influenced by different cultures, periods of time, and places she’s visited. In her free time, Ari frequents new restaurants and passes time outdoors.

SHELBY

Designer

Shelby is a born and raised New Englander who has loved interior design ever since she can remember. She graduated from college with a degree in Fashion Design, but quickly transitioned to a career working in high end residential design.

Shelby thrives in a collaborative environment and loves seeing her work come to life. She enjoys creating beautiful spaces and whole heartedly believes in the power and impact of a well-designed home. Shelby resides in Boston with her husband and little cockapoo, Mabel. Away from the office, she enjoys a good book, volunteering, going for walks, spending cozy weekends in Vermont and Maine, and indulging in delicious meals with the people she loves.

KEELIN

Designer

Keelin joined the MMI team in the summer of 2020 when she came on as a Junior Designer to assist Meg in an exciting time of growth. As Designer, she is responsible for design development from start to finish and plays an integral role in client, builder, and vendor communications.

Keelin loves designing a timeless and memorable space, mixing old and new, and integrating natural materials wherever possible. Prior to working at MMI, she studied interior design at the BAC and worked at another residential firm in Boston.

She lives in Charlestown, MA with her husband, son, and massive Swiss Mountain dog, Ziggy. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking (and eating), walks with friends, an occasional trashy TV show, and spending time with her boys!

ELLEN

Designer

Ellen was born in Sydney, Australia and raised amongst the beautiful mountains in Salt Lake City. Growing up surrounded by the arts, design has always been infused into her everyday life. She is a big believer in making life's big and small moments special and that details make all the difference. Prior to joining MMI, Ellen worked at high-end residential design firms in San Francisco and Washington D.C.

She loves mixing old with new and finds joy in creating timeless, curated and layered spaces that leave you feeling inspired and refreshed. Ellen finds most of her inspiration through nature and traveling around the world. In her spare time you will find Ellen planning her next party, testing out a new recipe or exploring the city with her husband, Luke.

If Ellen had to eat one thing for the rest of her life it would be ice cream.

HILLARY

Procurement Coordinator

Hillary was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She grew up in the design world via her mother, so it runs deep in her blood. At the age of 20, she came to Boston to study vocal performance at Berklee College of Music. After experiencing her first lobster roll, and meeting her husband (Mikey) at the recording studio where she worked, she decided to become a northerner for good. Her Texan side still shines through when she sprinkles “y’all” casually into conversation and orders jalapeños on everything. She now happily resides in Maine with Mikey and their 60lb pitbull named Pickles.

Hillary is an antiques enthusiast, avid houseplant mom and gardener, photographer, musician, and her daily exercise is chasing the dog around the house to get socks out of his mouth.

Jack is a 16-year-old Cairn Terrier who struggles with hearing and vision yet still charms everyone in the office. Ruthie is a one-year-old Australian Labradoodle who demands affection and belly rubs on the regular. Both are fixtures in the office and provide comedic relief and emotional support when needed.

With over eight years of experience, she now expertly manages our daily operations and spearheads our marketing initiatives. Her keen eye for detail allows her to capture the essence of the design process with a distinct editorial touch.
